Customers aged 65+ and disabled customers may qualify when the electrical work is carried out at the property where they normally live as their main home.
Community Discount questions
Can the discount be used on a job under £150?
No. Jobs below £150 do not qualify for the Community Discount.
Can a landlord claim the discount for a rental property?
No. A landlord, property owner or investor cannot claim the discount for work at a rental, investment or second property where they do not normally live, even if they are aged 65+ or disabled.
Can an eligible tenant qualify?
Yes. An eligible tenant who normally lives at the property may qualify.
Can a family member or carer pay for the work?
Yes. A family member, friend or carer may arrange and pay for the work on behalf of the eligible resident.
Will I need to provide proof?
Reasonable proof of eligibility and residence may be requested.
Can more than one Community Discount be used on the same job?
No. One Community Discount applies per job.
