AVAG supports homeowners, landlords and businesses with one-off checks, routine repairs and planned maintenance. The visit is tailored to the installation and the concern you want investigated; it is not automatically a full EICR unless that inspection has been requested.

What testing and maintenance can include
Work may include checking an accessory that feels warm, investigating flickering lights, testing a circuit after alterations, replacing damaged equipment, checking protective devices, or reviewing several small issues during one planned visit. The exact tests depend on the installation and symptoms.
If testing identifies a fault or a larger safety concern, the findings are explained clearly. Straightforward work may be completed during the visit when access, time and suitable materials allow. Additional remedial work is quoted and agreed before it continues.
When planned maintenance is useful

How the visit works
Send a description, postcode and photographs where useful. We confirm whether the request is best handled as routine maintenance, fault finding or a formal inspection. At the property, the relevant installation is checked and tested, then the findings and available options are discussed with you.
Is maintenance the same as an EICR?+
No. Maintenance addresses specific checks, wear and repairs. An EICR is a formal inspection and report on the condition of the fixed electrical installation.
Can several small jobs be completed in one visit?+
Usually, yes. Send a list and photographs first so the likely time, access and materials can be considered.
Do you provide maintenance for landlords and businesses?+
Yes. AVAG handles planned electrical maintenance for rental properties, shops, offices and other small commercial premises.
Will additional work be agreed first?+
Yes. If testing identifies work beyond the agreed visit, the findings and next-step price are explained before additional work begins.
